Here’s how to open a First Home Savings Account (FHSA) online: 

From the National Bank app: 

1. Sign in to the National Bank app.  
2. Click Menu at the bottom of the screen.  
3. Click Products and services, followed by Investment account.   
4. Click Open an investment account, then select the level of risk you’re comfortable with.  
5. Choose the type of project you have in mind (e.g. FHSA) and follow the steps.

From the web version of your online bank:  

1. Sign in to your online bank.   
2. Click Products and services  in the left menu, then expand the Saving and investments section.
3. Click Select under the level of risk you’re comfortable with, then click Start an application.
4. Choose the type of project you have in mind (e.g. FHSA) and follow the steps.

Once you’ve successfully opened your investment account, you’ll receive an on-screen confirmation.   

Here’s how to contribute to your FHSA: 

From the National Bank app: 

1. From the Home screen, scroll down to the section Investments, and select your FHSA. 
2. Click Contribute if you have a National Bank investment account, and follow the steps.
3. Or click Buy if you have a National Bank Savings and Investments account, and follow the steps. 

From the web version of your online bank:  

1. Click Overview in the left menu, then select your FHSA. 
2. Click Contribute if you have a National Bank investment account, and follow the steps.
3. Or click Buy if you have a National Bank Savings and Investments account, and follow the steps.
