The KONEK service was developed by Interac Corp., National Bank and Canada's leading financial institutions. It is a convenient and secure way to pay for your online purchases using eligible accounts they hold with your financial institution.
How does it work?
- When you pay for your purchase at a participating retailer, select KONEK, and then National Bank.
- Sign in using your National Bank credentials, then select the eligible payment method you wish to use.
KONEK is currently available with participating merchants in Canada with additional merchant participation to come. Visit the KONEK website for a full list of participating merchants.
The first time you use KONEK, you simply select KONEK at checkout, then select National Bank. From there, sign in to your online bank and provide consent, pick your preferred payment method, and complete your purchase. The next time you choose KONEK, your preferred payment information is saved to your profile, and you simply select it and pay.
The first time you use KONEK at a specific online merchant, you’ll pick your preferred payment type and pay. The next time you choose KONEK at the same or any other participating merchant, your preferred payment information will be saved in your profile. If you wish to change your default payment information, you can do so when you checkout or at any time by signing in to your KONEK account.

Interac Direct® allows you to pay straight from your bank account. Use Interac Direct when you checkout with the KONEK Payment Solution to pay directly with your National Bank chequing or savings account.
